Sirius Satellite install help
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I'm also a new proud owner of a 04 A8L. I just bought a Sirius Satellite on ebay. I've read some post about upgrading the MMI drive and NAV bundle, but I have 2 questions.
First When I click on radio then click band it does show Satellite as an option. Does this mean I don't need to update anything?
my second question is does anyone have step by step installation directions. I know where it needs to mount and the 4 wires that plug in. but I don't know how to mount it. I don't have the screws or see how exactly it's mounted. Is there a mounting bracket? Can someone please give me directions?

Re: Sirius Satellite install help
I didn't install mine myself, but I did have to purchase a mounting bracket when the dealer installed the satellite radio module. Mine showed satellite as a greyed out option and then Sirius after the module was installed. I presume there was some mmi work done to make the change, but I'm not sure about that.

Re: Sirius Satellite install help
I installed my Sirius unit myself and used Velcro to mount and it holds firm. I plugged my unit in and it showed under "radio bands" on the MMI screen. Truly plug-n-play. Make certain that you are outdoors to get the channel download. I am not certain if my '04 received the MMI upgrade.
