and I now have a "bit of paint" missing on the rear bumper. Someone posted a weblink on body/bumper matching paint and I can't seem to find it.
PaulW, was that you that posted that weblink?
Do they have a spray product or does the brush go on fine enough? I seem to remember you have to order a special bumper paint that is more plyable or something.

Re: Sorry to hear :( maybe I'll take a walk to do my voting.
Thanks for the "sad symbol". I am always so damn careful and I was left with only one parking spot location and had to take it. Once you get that first "nick", it seems to take something away from your relationship with your car. Like you let "it" down and let some idiot take advantage of "it". I know, get a life!

I know what you mean about the first ding and the change in the relationship with the car.
I figure if that's the worst quirk in my personality [Okay, I'm not saying it actually *is* the worst thing ;-)] then I'm doing okay!

I usually try to park far, far away :)
Unfortunately, my first "boo boo" happened this summer on vacation. I have a small scratch on the leading edge of my hood - looks like a neighborhood cat tried to jump up on it and slid off! Thank goodness it's only 1 scratch and not ten! I occasionally have to remind myself... it's only a car, it's only a car...

I refuse to hand my keys over to a valet!
The only damage done to my MB was compliments of the valet at the local mall. Not going to let them do that to my current baby Although, I'm sure if we drive it up to San Francisco I might have to trust a valet - but the key will be handed over with $$$ and a request to keep my car close by. The last time I was at the Fairmont (still had my MB) the valet let me park it in the front drive and it was still in the same place when I picked it up.
