Does anybody know where I can purchase a new or used splash shield for my '07 S8. This seems to be an very expensive purchase from the dealership.

I 'think' the only difference is the diesel engine splash guards may have a bit of extra sound deadening on them. And a heater vent hole. I have a diesel and I had a replacement from a donor car that was petrol and I had to just add a whole where my Aux heater pipe feeds out.

I have tried this in the past. S8 and W12 have a different splash shield than the 4.2 (extra vents).
VERY hard to finds in a junk yard / dissmantler. IN many cases they are ruined when the car is crashed / towed / sold at auction. Sold yards don't even try to save them since they are almost always broken....
Tried for 6 months, gave up. Please let me know if you find a stash somewhere!
