Ah!, I finally got the bluetooth to synchronise. It is actually simpler than I though. I did nothing on the car. I had my phone search for it and I entered the digits above as instructed. Whala, it connected. However, when I got incoming call, it rang. I picked it up, but heard nothing. I had to transfer it to my phone before i could hear my caller. What am I not doing right?

Hello everybody. I'm new here and this is my first post it.
My car (WAUZZZ4E06N025013) has a module 4E0910333F with a cradle (4E0035707) for a Motorola handset (4E0862393B) in the arm rest area.
I have to insert a SIM under the Motorola and everything is workin' perfect, but ... I want to use any personal mobile (Android) connecting to the car kit.
If I will change the old module (4E0910333F) with another one (more efficient) the problem will be solved ?
Which type of module (SW / HW) do you reccomend ?
thanks in advance

Default bluetooth

Hello again to everybody
Nobody knows how to solve my situation ?
If I mount a module 4E0910336MX the problem will be solved ?
I want to use the car-phone (by car-kit) and any others mobiles phones (connected via bluetooth by car-kit).
Will be possible ?
I read somewhere something about this bluetooth module (4E0910336MX) and (is only an oppinion) the handset from cradle will be "dead" (but I don't want to give up at this handset)
Thanks in advance

thanks you to all that have contributed to this thread. It not only assisted me in diagnosing my S8 Bluetooth issue, but saved me from spending an extra 900.00 in the process. Dealership wanted 1100.00 for the module and install. Got the same module off ebay for 90.00 and a high end stereo shop replaced it for me in 1 hour at a rate of 85.00. Hopefully I can contribute something to repay all you guys for your postings! thanks again.

Default SW difference

Hi everybody,

recently BT module in my 07 Q7 has failed. I'm trying to locate a used one for replacement, to avoid almost 500€ price at the dealer. There are lots of BT modules on eBay with the right part number (4E0 862 335), but none (as far as I was able to check) with the same SW number - in my case 4E0 910 336 G. Is the last letter of SW number essential? Would any "newer" module (like J, K, ... > G) fit my car?

My car has a "preparation for phone" only - no separate telephone inside. I'm using BT module to connect my phone as use free hands. If that makes any sense.

p.s. I've asked the code of a new part at the dealer and I've been told that it would be 4E0 910 336 M. As I understand this is the SW number.

Regards,

For a start, it would be quite helpful to know what car you have and what phone ECU you have and what MMI level you have.

This is a predominantly US forum so if you're outside, all the info. you give helps.

If you haven't got VCDS you can always use the Red Screens to work out numbers and levels. [See attached notes ...]
