Anyone have a bentley diagram or some sort of tutorial on how to get to the thermostat and remove it? The car only has 55k on it and there is no point in getting it done by someone. Still have a good bit on the timing belt and the water pump. ANY help would be greatly appreciated as I will be attempting it this week. Thanks in advance

Timing belt off, then you can get to the thermostat. Not an easy, nor fun job. My Bentley manual CD is unreadable as my PC it was installed on died. (2nd PC it was installed on) Bentley matches it with the machine's BIOS so I need a new one. The procedure has been detailed on an older 4.2L engine on the D2 forum. Not for the faint of heart. A few special tools are highly recommended.

I remember reading somewhere that you can use the tensioner to loosen it a bit and then you can more the belt to the side a little and remove the thermostat. So more or less the tutorial on the older 4.2l engine is the one to follow except for a couple of differences?

I did the same once with old D2 cd, Bentley CD only worked old computer. Called bentley gave old serial number and they walked me through it to put it on my lap top.
