Tiptronic (MANUALY) shift modus in J587 selector lever sensor pcb is partly defective
Today I experienced I cannot accelerate once the 4th gear is manualy selected using the tiptronic modus of my A8 4,2 TDI.
All other functions of the gearbox work fine, there are no failures in the automatic gear box 02 module.
The hall sensors are fine. I believe one of transistors on J587 selector lever sensors control unit (tiptronic pcb) is defective.
The Shift mechanism is my car = 4E1713041BG
I would like to buy a second hand Shift mechanism and swap the prited circuit board (Pcb J587).
Remark / Question: There are different type Shift mechanisms.
For V8, V10, W12 and V6 engines.
Who can tell me the differences. Maybe all pcb's identical so I can buy any model.

Hello mmi.drachten,
I do not see two different shifters for each V6, V8, V10, or W12.
This is how I see it.
The "AL" is for the 5.2 V10 as shown by the "T8E"
lhd.
PR-G0R+T8E.
(G0R) Transmission specifications: 6-speed automatic transmission for four-wheel drive vehicle.
(L0L) Steering system arrangement: Left-hand drive vehicle.

The "BG" is for the "T81" 4.2 and the "T1H" 6.0 W12.

Hello and thank you Johnny J J,
do you expect the integrated pcb (J587) of all models (AL/BG/BJ) are identical?

I swapped the pcb (J587)......
WITHOUT Success.
Any hint why I my car accelerate once the 4th gear (only) is manually selected using the tiptronic position?
All other gears work fine.
Maybe the the PCB in the mechatronic (J217) is defective? (Nr. 1)
