Transmission making noise
Hey all, I’ve noticed when I accelerate semi-aggressive and the car downshifts the transmission makes a “hoot” sound. My BMW did this and a month later I lost 3 gears. Has anyone experienced this same issue and how was it fixed ?

Search. There are probably two hundred posts on this, as well as a TSB. Yes, BMW's had same, though usually not tied to long term failure issue.
