Default Turned in my 06' A8L this am and bought it back.

Had a few posts in the past. To net it out:

Residual 59k plus change. Audi financial would not budge. Cash cards etc. did not work for me(requires short finance period)

Took it in yesterday for dealer to CPO. Got an A8 loaner

Paid 55,350 for my perfect 21k mile car plus 1890 to CPO it

Audi paid $1000 toward deposit.

I pay 57k for my car CPO'd with a good rate at 72 months which is what I needed for temporary cash flow(will probably be done with car in 2 yrs)

Bottom line is that there is internet lore that you can't have the dealer get a better deal than you fron Audi finance. Not true.

Default Congrats, that's terrific news. If my car wasn't leased through company, I'd be all over my dealer

...to get the same kind of deal, since my car's residual dollar value is about the same as yours.

Again, congrats....and very happy that you were able to stay with your A8 (though I'm sure your happiness quotient is through the roof) :^))

Default I did the same thing with my '01 C5 4.2; just understand you're married to the car now...

If you try and unload it in just a few years, you'll be way under water. Put if you hold onto it for a while, its a great deal.

Default Just needed cash flow for a year so will pay off in two and trade

That puts me a bit ahead of a new lease since my payment on the 06' was only $ 1087 tax in. 550S or equivalent is much more. Now I have a great car for $1020 a month.

My point is that what it'll take to pay off the loan will be more than you'll get on the trade.
