Default vag-com lowering + 20mm spacers

I am considering both lowering my 2006 A8 SWB (sport package) with the vag-com, and installing the 20mm wheel spacers that were mentioned on the board a few weeks ago.

I have a few questions and appreciate any comments or suggestions.

First, is there anything about this combination (lowering 10-20mm and installing 20mm wheel spacers) that I should be concerned about ? I have done some rough measurements, and I don't see how the combination of these two items would work any less than simply doing one or the other, but I would like to be assured.

Second, what suggestions can be given regarding the amount to lower ? My feeling is 20mm, because that puts lift mode at 105mm, which is very close to the standard 100mm, so I could use that anytime I was being cautious. On the other hand, I don't want to spend my life calculating curb and speed bump heights. So I am curious - is 10mm lowering even noticable ? Is 20mm a reasonable amount that won't drive me crazy ?

Third, does a stock RS6 have wheel spacing that is analogous to the (visual) effect that 20mm spacers will have on an A8 ? I ask because I have seen some RS6 cars and their wheels seem to come out of the wells just a bit, but not too much. Were those cars modified, or is that stock for an RS6 ? Is that about what it will look like on an A8 ?

Many thanks. Again, any related comments or suggestions appreciated.

I had mine lowerd 10mm at first and noticed absolutely nothing, even at 20mm - it is nothing you really can notice unless you really look at it.

Thanks.

How was the day to day handling and driving of the car at minus-20mm ? A noticable difference ? Have you bumped anything or otherwise had complications ?
