W12 Purchase

W12 Purchase
Hi,
Im looking at a 2005 W12 in Phantom Black/Amaretto. Its a great looking car and it seems to be in order but I have one question. It does not have the four person seating lay out but rather the traditional bench seat. Does anyone know why this would be? Was it a no cost option?
Any issues I should look for would also be appreciated.
Many Thanks

Re: W12 Purchase
Yes, it was a no-cost option.

Re: It was/is a no cost option...That was, apparently, not ordered on this particular car.
I read through the 06 and 07 brochures for the A8s and they read as though the four place seating is standard on the W12 with the availability of the bench as a no cost option. So whoever spec'd the car had to ask for the bench, otherwise it would have come with four seats. I guess the car was traded in (you are not negotiating with the original owner?)

Thanks for the info and the link to the full spec. I am negotiating with a dealer, it has 8500 miles on it and it appears the only options were the 20" wheels, and the solar sunroof

Re: W12 Purchase
It was a no cost option. A customer could choose either the four seating or a bench seat based on their preference. All W12s are build to order to the customer's preference. That is why they are currently pre-sold through most of 2007.

Re: W12 Purchase
Just for kicks, i have access to a 2006 W12 w/ the 4 person seating set up. And the car has extremely low miles <1900. (the owner passed and the Estate has contacted me to sell the car for them. I sold the car originally.)
I have pictures if you like. The car would cause you to change your forum name though.... QUARTZGRAYW12
Congrats in advance on the Black one if you go all the way on it.
