Well, that sucked. Drove about 5 miles this morning on the way to work, and started losing power.

i had same problem. it was the break switch under the pedal. when it got cold the brake switch would be on and when i would accelerate it would shut the motor down. try to put your left foot behind the brake and pull backwards, that may at least get you started and to the shop. i had my switch replaced and all was good. i hope it is that simple for you but not starting at all may be a larger issue.

I'd have the fuel pumps checked
There are two in the fuel tank and I just had the main pump go out and dealer had difficulty finding the problem. Car ran very rough between gear shifts and almost went in limp mode as I was driving. Could not drive over about 35 MPH. The secondary pump could not keep up with fuel demand and engine wanted to shut off. Check engine light came on also. Fault code showed car was running lean.

50 Bucks
My car is a CPO - - cost of deductible. They actually replaced the intake manifold first before they got an Audi Engineer on the phone to help figure it out. They originally thought it was a vacuum leak off a part on manifold. Good luck.....
