Default Not sure about the sculpted line.....

that runs from the front end to the aft just below the windows. It reminds me of an asian car,i just can't quite place it right now. Maybe a Lexus. The trunk seems to be pinched a bit like the Merc CLS550. I guess I'm partial to the more rounded lines of the current model than the sharp cuts of the 2011. However I did see a cool picture of the back seat that showed the middle arm rest down with all the seat controls, video on the back of the front seats, and what appeared to be a tray table. Very cool. I hope all the electronics work as advertised. Lots of computer technology incorporated into the entire car.

It looks so stupid and ugly. Like, they ruined the A8. Interior is like top-notch design, quality, and materials.. But it doesn't match that boxy looking retard exterior.

I'd prefer a 2001 A8 over this new one, sorry to say. But its very ugly to me.

The above link is for replica watches from India. Spam. Don't click that crap. We drive Audis, not Kias.

I'm anxious to see it in person. It looks a lot like a blown up A4, but it's hard to judge the scale by the photos. It's certainly more organic and less architectural than the D3.

It's a little disheartening to see a front without the "eyes" implied by a typical point-source headlight. It seems like the "eyes" are closed now, but at least the "eyelashes" look pretty good.

The details look very impressive, especially the ambient lighting and new MMI. I'm a tech geek, so I'm really to see how well all the advertised tech works.

I hope we get the diesel. My wife and I are looking for a Q7 TDI right now. Maybe we can follow up with an A8 TDI shortly thereafter. I like the 4.2, but am a little disappointed that it's not as potent as what MB and BMW are offering. Otherwise, it looks like it should blow away the S500 and 7-series pretty handily.

I'm glad they moved the clock off the mmi screen. I drop the screen in mine often and my daughter is always asking what time it is. Problem solved.

Regarding the cupholder door, doesn't it look like it will be fingerprint central?

Default Very nicely done! Stud.

I like the evolution of the new A8L. It looks clean and sharp. However those new LED lightings which are optional are a bit hideous and distracts the good front look. I like the standard HID headlamps that are shown on the front page of audiworld.com. Does anyone agree with me? I Am also sure that the A8L version will look more better with the long overhang.

I'm guessing that it opens and closes electrically. Another dece to break but it beats the mechanical open/close "cushioning" mechanism that breaks requiring a $150-$200 service part.

Interior is improved. I like it a lot. Exterior isn't doing much for me. I like the D3 lines, particularly the lower rocker line which has been moved higher in the waist here. Maybe it'll grow on me.
But the front/rear lighting looks pretty cool. Wonder how much replacing one of those front headlights will run?????

Default Hmmm

It will be an awesome car. I am just hesitant on how the rear end looks. As being the Big Daddy of the Audi lineup, why would the rear end look like the A4? Gosh I can't wait.
