I know, I know... I posted on this before and haven't taken my car in yet, so it's my own fault. I'm gonna call tomorrow - I swear!
So, I'm cruising down the freeway, doing about 70, cause it's pouring cats and dogs... halfway through the wiper sweep they just freeze for about 5 seconds, then stutter down to the 'off' position, then after a couple more seconds, they resume working as if nothing ever happened. Meanwhile, I'm trying not to panic while trying to see where I'm going, as the rain is pouring down in buckets, not to mention all of the spray coming off the freeway from the other cars. It did this to me three times today - totally unpredictable, last week - they worked fine... and yes, my windshield has been rain-x-ed recently. I wonder if there's a TSB on this issue.
I also have a very strange noise coming from my suspension, I haven't taken it in yet, as I haven't found what circumstances cause the noise, so I can get the service guys to hear it. When driving slowly over speed bumps, or certain bumpy roads (unfortunately, not everytime) and the suspension takes a bit of action, I hear this awful screech noise, like something needs lubricated. I guess when I take it in for the wipers I'll try and describe the screech and see if they can find anything. Anyone else experiencing strange noises?

g, I have the same issue with the wipers AND the noise. Have ALL
of the front bushings lubricated AND DONT GIVE THEM A DIME!!! My "noise" seems to have disappeared once the grease was applied. The wipers issue has me frosted. Each and every time I make the complaint, the RO comes back stating that they "could not duplicate the customers complaint"! No surprise there! I have ceased to drive this car in the rain. Yesterday, either the parking brake failed or one of the rear brake lights for the THIRD time! I am literally a hair away from returning this car to Audi, making it my first and last!!!

I hate to be cynical, but this sounds like a situation where
the dealer says "Cannot duplicate customer complaint, thus no repairs done." Hope I'm wrong. Good luck. Which dealer do you use?

The noise does sound as though it IS the front bushings. As for the Charmin
dont squeeze! There probably was a bad batch of wiper ECMs(if wipers have their own) but getting Audi to admit it is another story.
