Here is how I routed the monitor harness through the location where the seat plugs are.

This is the factory part that covers the base of the monitor. See part number. This is not listed in the parts catalog. It’s approx 80 usd and comes with the front half and back half.

This is the front seat with back cover removed so I could route the wiring to the monitor.

Here is the other half. Notice same part number.

I can play MP4 on the front and back unit yes.

It is just important to re-encode your videos to match the following specs :
Codec: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC
Video resolution: 720x404
