Default Broken LED Headlight Bracket

Just picked up my New-To-Me 2013 A8L / 3.0T and am really enjoying it! However comma I've found a broken bracket, or mount, on top the driver's side headlight (see pic, of course). The headlight assembly feels just as stable as the other side and I've noticed no movement, jiggling or mis-alignment on that side. It would appear this is an integral part of this very expensive, and otherwise fully-functional, assembly. Is there a.) a way to repair something like this, b.) can I replace just a part of the assembly that includes this bracket, or c.) do I really even need to worry about it?

There are so few things even slightly wrong with this car that I should be happy this is about all I've found! But, I would like to fix it, if possible and practical. Cheers, y'all...

The good thing is by the way you're describing the effected headlight, there seems to be no adverse effect to the overall functionality of the headlight. If that's the worst issue with your car (73,XXX miles), you made a great buy.

Good luck.

Even though you say the headlamp unit is stable, think I'd probably find a really strong glue/cement that bonds hard plastic to further stabilize things. Looks like a really nice A8L you found. Best of luck🙂

I'm a fan of epoxies. Sometimes you have to be careful about them working on certain plastics. Some are specialized for plastics like...

Worst part will be figuring out how to clamp the pieces for a period of time.

There you go. Buy the replacement part, install it/have it installed and don't think about it ever again.

Good luck.
