Differences between S8 and A8 4.0T?
It seems like the s8 just has a better turbo chip or something. Clearly I'm wrong, here.
What are the differences between these two cars that justify the approx $20K?
(just trying to start a healthy discussion)

It is an interesting question. Since the Turbos are on top of the engine, they can be changed without pulling the engine. So when people start modifying this engine in the next few years, big hp gains could be had without having to do the Pull The Engine thing....LOL
Also, if you look under the hood you can access the secondary intercooler fairly easily!
I wonder what the process is for this engine for a timing belt change?

According to the Audi-provided technical overview, "the chain drive for the four camshafts and the engine's ancillaries are located in the back".
Which is to say, it's good for the life of the motor. If that turns out to be a self-fulfilling prophesy, I would guess the motor will have to be yanked to gain access.
