Heavy road noise
Not sure how to describe this, but when driving it seems like I’m hearing louder than normal road noise. There’s no vibrations and it doesn’t sound loud when I roll the windows down, but something doesn’t sound right. It’s almost like I’m driving on a road that needs to be paved and just not a smooth sounding ride. Thoughts on what this might be?

Changing from D4 specific AO rated tyres would do that. If you haven't changed tyres, check pressures - if weather is warmer wherever you are, pressures may now be too high.

Good thought, it has warmed up, so that very well could be the case. I’ll check the tire pressure tomorrow and hopefully that’s it! I’ve noticed there isn’t a place that lists the tire pressures for each tire correct? Have to check manually?

The bearing is about $300 for an Audi one, $100 for aftermarket. Probably another 3 hours labor for a shop to replace. Puts you in the $500 to $700 range for replacement by a shop. YouTube video of someone doing it themselves.

Ok thanks for this info! I let some air out but didn’t seem to help. Might be the bearing.

I had a lot of road noise, thinking it was the wheel bearings, but the dealer confirmed it was just the horrible stock 20” Perelli tires. Since I had decent tread I dealt with it for nearly 18 months. Finally upgraded to the Michelin Pilot Sports and the sound is gone!
