yep, V6, which I'm sure has a bit to do with it. not sure if I wait another year it'll even out a little better for me or not. With the D5, might be even worse...

Numbers in here so far pretty much fit my algorithm for big Audis--20% per year off the prior year's value. Add another 20% one time whack for a model change (D4 to 5 here) that has already started and will be complete when new ones are on dealer lots.

Last few replies raised nuance on motors. W12 takes biggest bath early. Those seem to hardly exist in D4 volume wise. Haven't tracked V6 to know there. As they get yet older (like D3's now are), the powerful ones tend to do better, though by then the cars are down to 5-20% of original selling price.

I agree, with the D5 coming out I expect these to take a hit like my D3 did when the D4's started to roll out onto the dealership lots. My father has a S-Class that is holing up well in value even though it's a 2014.

On a side note, anybody live in or near the Boston area willing to check out a car for me? I see one I want, but I'm not willing to buy it without some eyes on it first.

These are the original maps. The salesman told me the maps and MMI spoils have been updated as part of the CPO. I'll check the CPO dealer guide but I doubt updated maps are part of CPO. can you do the map update with VCDS?

Never heard of either updated maps or MMI s/w w/ CPO. Wasn't the case with my CPO either.

No, you can not update either with VCDS. In general for D4 on maps it is a $$$ dealer process for most owners. For MMI it is only updated while under warranty as/when needed to deal with issues they can verify.

Good Morning!
Old member, back again. It's been a while since I sold my S5 (B8), but we're back this year with a new A3 (my wife's new ride). I will be seriously looking into a CPO'd D4 next year, so I try to go over the threads in case I have questions. I sincerely appreciate any help you can offer, these are beautiful cars, but as a previous audi owner (A6, S5) I am certain they come with little "quirks". Stay cool.

If people want a cheap car.......buy a Hyundai! If driving a high end, powerful luxury car is what you want to do..... Buy like a previous poster said, buy used. I bought a 2014 4.0 A8 with great options in June of this year. Car was CPO thru a big Audi dealer in Boston.
My car literally looks brand new, it should with 9,800 miles on it! By the way, I paid 47K.
I have always bought used in the past, 2-3 years old, always in excellent condition with NO accidents. Cars from the past few years 2013 E550, 2010 550i with manual transmission, 2008 535xi with six speed.
By far I like the A8 the best, GREAT power! Love the car in Dynamic in Sport mode! APR tune coming soon, maybe new wheels but that will be it for mods.
