Due to declining vision, my top priority for my next car is awesome headlights. I routinely pour over the data in the IIHS safety tests which now rates headlight effectiveness. Sadly, there are no tests available for the A8's lighting system. Can forum members owning 2014 - 2017 A8's in the U.S. comment on how satisfied you are with the headlights? I'll try to post a poll to make voting easy. Alternatively, if you've owned another vehicle that had headlights superior to your A8's, kindly state the make, model, year, and whether a special option package was needed to get those headlights. Thanks so much!!

Once aligned properly, the spread is very nice. The color is outstanding, too. High Beams are excellent, though the auto function tends to over-react and turn them off when presented with false positives like signs or street lights... something my Cadillac CTS never did.

My only nit is with the cornering lamps... the driver side lamp tends to illuminate the neighbors yard and porch and not the roadway when cornering. Dealer(s) have both said it is in alignment. Passenger side lamp perfectly illuminates the road.

I think the headlights are fantastic but my B9 Allroad’s headlights were the brightest of even car I have ever owned. Even the signals in that car were noticeably bright.

I have a feeling mine need to be aligned, they seem pointed a little low with the dipped beam. But the high beam is SO nice, not the best I’ve experienced but they’re great.
