Default HVAC Styles

I removed the "Block HVAC Styles" The MMI reflects the change and it helps here when the temps are up past 100' Supposed to hit 106 this weekend.

Look at the long coding helper in VCDS.

Rich - what does this do? Was there an error that you cleared or did you modify a setting to assist with cooling the inside of the car? I too am in Texas (McKinney) and the forecast says 102 for the next couple of days!

+1 for figuring out what your getting at @richard-tx . So far my google-fu and going over 08-Auto HVAC doesn't seem to reveal any clues.

Abs this does what exactly? Seems that several of us are at a lost as to what you did and why?

I’m assuming this enables the intensity programs for the HVAC blower motors. ‘Soft’ ‘medium’ ‘intensive’

Confirming this is indeed what he’s talking about. I just did it in a customer’s S8 to check hah

Thanks for the info. I’ve always wanted to turn on this feature.

I just updated mine today. It was in German, but I was able to fumble through it. BTW, there does seem to be a difference in the volume of air coming out of the vents. I set the AC to the maximum setting (temperature set to low, etc.). With the flow set to SOFT, it seemed fine but when I changed the MMI setting to INTENSE it was....well intense. I do not anticipate that this will change the normal function, as I usually use the temperature setting to adjust the air flow (not manually adjusting the fan speed). I am expecting it to work differently the next time my car is parked outside in 100 plus degrees. It would seem logical that when the car is initially started that there will be a more powerful flow of air.
