Question Isofix question

Fellow members,

Could anyone tell me if you have ever seen an A8 with isofix guides?
The latches are yes installed but way too deep.
I have really hard time to install/ remove the baby seat.
The most annoying thing with not having the guides like on most cars, is that it leaves permanent marks on the crushed leather...

Any pics?

It seems like isofix guides can be bought and installed extremely cheaply (3$ on ebay) I do agree that the watches are in a terribly deep position .I just leave the seat in though, I don't have to take it out much .

Yes they could more or less be retrofitted. Still I would prefer not to cut the leather.
The problem when leaving the seat quite long hooked to the isofix latches is that the leather is compressed a lot and won’t get back to its original shape.
it will leave 2 holes. Not very nice...

You have to cut the leather to install them?? I didn't notice that. that does seem stupid. Sadly I have no other fix then! Best of luck. I do agree it is a pain in the *** the way they designed it. Seems like the way they used to design cup holders back in the day; begrudgingly because they had to even though they didn't want to.

Yeah, I guess the smart guys at Audi have decided to put isofix latches because it was nice to have on the longgggggggg list of options but in realty they have decided that an A8 is not a real family car and putting more effort to have useful hooks was not worth.
