Just picked up a 2009 e93 BMW 335i for fun...
and wow, it is fun! 335i, twin turbo V6 to replace my wife's 2003 e46 325ic - both cabrios. I remember now why I love bimmers so much! Already modded it a bit - front aero lip, rear trunk spoiler, updated 2014 illuminated gear shifter, OEM sport pedals, OEM M door sills, OEM M steering wheel trim, smartop module and a little bit more. love this car but couldn't drive it on a regular basis over my A8.

Ok now, we all do realize if you look under the hood of any six cylinder BMW they are all straight inline sixes.......no V6!!!!!!! And really, why do we need to know about a 18 year old car on our D4 forum? Shouldn't this be in another area on this site???

wow, I didn't mean to offend or bother anyone. I thought this forum was for enthusiasts in general. of course, most threads will relate to Audi. Hell, I even saw someone post about Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, with no mention of Audi anywhere (well, someone said they hoped no Audis were harmed...)
And yes, we've established that I mispoke when I said it was a V6 - I know it's an inline 6 and has been for decades. I wholeheartedly apologize to all with my mistake and I have been summarily chastised, I hope it never occurs again

Not offended at all, there is another section about General Automotive (non-Audi). You may actually find a bigger audience there for your BMW car. Just like other websites I have been on, if the moderator isn't tough on non-relevant posts it soon becomes a swamp of non relative content.
You are right, it is a fairly dull forum as far as the D4 goes, not many people modding them. I like Audiboost as well for that very reason........but what I like most of all is driving the heck out of my car in Sport/Dynamic! I do wish there was more exhaust noise, I am going to be doing something about that this winter......more to be revealed!

I just like to give people grief not sure if Audi has it but the BMW has a vacuum tube that can be removed from the exhaust pipe. once removed, increases the growl as it opens up both pipes all the time. you plug the tube with a golf tee, yes, really. And doesn't send a code, which is nice. Or at least not a code that shows up on the idrive, might throw something internal but no big deal.
