Cool new to D4 audi and want to lower it considerably as I have a wheel setup on the way.

hello friends....

new to the site but i moderate a very popular internet brands site as well. but im new this (audi) as i just bought my 2011 A8, and know it's air ride as most of what i found is just technical equipment, but somehow i feel like i need more. if someone could just point me in the right direction i would be very grateful.

the wheels im looking at are these listed below and id like the suspension to sit like this maybe a 1/2" lower, but i dont know much about my option so just simply asking for some newb help.

Hey bud. Welcome! I just got this module installed and it was a pain in the *** simply because of the location of the air module in the A8. But this is the best plug n play adaptation I’ve seen on the market as far as full height value customization goes. Connects seamless to bluetooth and can adjust the height with a swipe in the app.

I know you’re wanting to drop an addl 13mm but this is the functionality to raise and lower at will. This is lowered 35mm front and rear from the dynamic setting which already lowers 15mm I think for a total of 50mm front n rear

man i think that just might work. im just terrified of the install as the air system has little sensors everywhere, such as once you reach a certain speed it lowers it a bit (so ive read). how compatible is it? i think with the wheels i want this will be enough,

THanks!

Not touching any of those sensors. Everything stays factory. This just installs right behind those pink fuse trays in the trunk after pulling off the wall. Problem is the difficulty comes with trying to get your hands behind that fuse tray to install the module. All the other modules need to be removed and about 6 or 7 zip ties need to be cut and 6 10mm bolts need to be removed. Pic below for reference.

Your car only lowers at speeds if the car is set to auto. Other than that if it’s in comfort or dynamic it stays at those height settings. I’ve only had one air suspension fault error pop up because I was driving the thing with little to no air in it because I love that big body dumped look. The sensors will be fine as you’re not going to be messing with them at all. The module install took about 3 hours overall which isn’t too bad.

The car can also be lowered via VCDS, the standard diagnostic tool used by anyone who does work on their own cars here. Just a little bit of time on the computer, and your work is done. It's been discussed in depth in other threads on this site. There are also a host of other modifications available, most listed in the thread in my signature.

I agree with the VCDS option. I was able to lower mine and the air ride still adjust to compensate for load. Here's how it looks with 22's.

How much did you lower it or is that just lowered when put in dynamic?

Canino Luxury Car Wheels - CD10 Series

Looks like 22x10.5?

I have a cete controller being shipped right now. They look to be a very good and convienient solution for adjustability from Bluetooth.

I bought some 21x10.5" OZ superturismo lm. In 28 et. They are about a month away still. What size tire will you use in your setup?

I'm going with 285/35/21 pilot sports.

Didn't forget about you. My window machine is down and that's where my VCDS is loaded. Should be up by the end of the week and I'll get you those numbers.
