I have it on mine without issue but we did use a heat but to soften it up a tad and get it pressed into space. Mines been on 4 months now and cars been to over 160 a few times and had 10+ trips in the auto car wash.

If you read the Tesla and BMW forums, carbon fiber spoilers have a notoriously poor fitment issue because they're so rigid and unforgiving - and even small variances in manufacturing quality can create these gaps.
I am a bit OCD so even 2mm / 3mm gaps would drive me nuts - one of those things that maybe one doesn't notice from a few feet away, but I'd know it and see it all the time.

Its real carbon but its carbon bonded to a fiberglass mounting pad. Have used this method many times on Corvette body kits. You dont get much movement and the part cant be old but if its under 5-6 months old the epoxy in the carbon is still fresh enough to warm up and flex a tad. Mind you its only a MM or so but sometimes thats all you need.
