Dang, that sucks audisession- but you may have saved a number of us pre-face lift D4 owners from making the same mistake so for that, I thank you!

I have it on mine without issue but we did use a heat but to soften it up a tad and get it pressed into space. Mines been on 4 months now and cars been to over 160 a few times and had 10+ trips in the auto car wash.

I think you mentioned that there's a gap at the middle - I had that too. When I pressed down to get that middle gap closed, that's when the edges curled up.
If you read the Tesla and BMW forums, carbon fiber spoilers have a notoriously poor fitment issue because they're so rigid and unforgiving - and even small variances in manufacturing quality can create these gaps.

I am a bit OCD so even 2mm / 3mm gaps would drive me nuts - one of those things that maybe one doesn't notice from a few feet away, but I'd know it and see it all the time.

btw, I frankly think the CF spoiler may look good on a white or silver car, but on my black car it didn't look that great in my opinion even if magically the fit was perfect.

If I were going to get one, I'd have it painted black; I don't care for the CF look and it'll match the black accents that I'll eventually put on it.

Are you saying you were able to bend the spoiler with heat? If so it is not real carbon fiber - it’s a plastic wrapped with vinyl.

if it’s real carbon fiber a heat gun cannot bend the spoiler.

Its real carbon but its carbon bonded to a fiberglass mounting pad. Have used this method many times on Corvette body kits. You dont get much movement and the part cant be old but if its under 5-6 months old the epoxy in the carbon is still fresh enough to warm up and flex a tad. Mind you its only a MM or so but sometimes thats all you need.
