I get overexcited about buying new stuff!!!!! Not really much to buy for the A8 though. Wish they made a pedalbox for it though. It was amazing in the BMW. Removed all turbo lag and the car just took off like a rocket!

I think lag in your 3.0T supercharged V6 is like "nil," with instantaneous on-demand power. While I've experienced some slight off-the-line lag with the 4.0T twin turbo engine, there is no noticeable lag when punching it at speed---just a wonderfully smooth power rush :-)). I know the BMW turbo lag had been a big issue with some owners a few years ago---don't know about the last couple of years however.

As has been said, the A8 is pretty darn good as is, but you can always find a way to spend some bucks---exhaust upgrade (including changing to the W12 integrated exhaust valance & tips), window tinting, engine tuning (if available on the 3.0T V6), swapping wheels. All these maintain the car's "intended" visual character while customizing to your preference. A few have lowered it, "blacked out" certain visual cues, gone with very low aspect-ratio rubber---making for a very unique look, but IMHO way too far astray from the original design intent.

Agreed. I used to lower my cars but no longer. I'm getting too old at 46 to sacrifice ride quality for looks. And these don't need black rims IMO. And I don't monkey with the engines. I do want that rear valence with W12 tips. I just like the smooth look.

I think you should certainly go for that rear valance/exhaust tip change-out. I have always preferred it. FWIW, before I ordered my 2011 D4 I wrote to Audi's head of product planning and suggested that it be made available for ordering on non-W12 trims. They made it standard on the 4.0T when that began production in 2013 MY, and beginning with the 2015 MY standard on all A8 trims. Guess it took some time to open my letter ;^))

Congratulations Frybear! I hope you enjoy the new ride. Please keep me posted on your modifications. My 13 A8L is Ice silver and I'm having the front grill painted gloss black this week. I'm also adding a set of 20 inch RS style wheels in hyper silver. I would really like to change the rear end to the horizontal exhaust integrated into the bumper, but not sure where to find this. Let me know if you know of anything. Thanks
