Replacing Tires Today!
Having Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 N-Specs put on today - 275/40R20 size. Dealer called and the tech was not necessarily concerned by wanted to point out the fact that the larger tire vs. the 265's was right up to the "knuckle" with very little room. They said it's a tight fit even with the 265's but this makes it tighter. They said they are still happy to install but wanted to give me the heads up. I had them go ahead with the installation based upon the success stories I've read on the forum but does this sound like anything I need to be concerned about?

Either it hits or it doesn't, that simple. On mine obviously it doesn't either.
Audi has been making tight suspensions like this all the way back to the C2/pre D1, so nothing new. It used to be a lot more interesting in the pre-quattro days when you went to put (cable) chains in the front.

Thanks for the reply. Curious as to what pressure you run in that size? I'm thinking 35psi on all 4?

I run 36 psi front and 35 psi rear. I never carry much weight other than my wife and I.

Thanks! I'd really appreciate some quick pix of how they look on the wheel from the side, if you have any spare time to post some.
I'm about to pull the trigger and just get 'em. Pilots Sport A/S have never let me down in any iteration ... form the original to the 3 Plus. I'm just over-thinking and worried about downsizing from 21" to 20" wheel and how it will look.
