One thing I've noticed on the US spec cars are the front indicators are quite different to EU spec cars. Can't you have the indicators that are built just under the DRL LED strip ? Or is a regulatory thing?

The turn signal indicators are the same, but the U.S. spec side marker lamp is Orange instead of clear. Actually, the DRL and the turn signal indicator lights are integrated on the same bar for both Xenon and full LED applications, according to the 2011 A8 U.S. Product Planning Guide (see below posted images).
