Service Intervals A8 Hybrid
Hi All,
I purchased my car, 2013 A8L Hybrid 30,000 miles, in December 2018. Service indicator in the car says: Oil Change 2,000 miles 30 days, and Service 7,000 miles 210 days. The last service was a full service Dec 17 at 24,000 miles.
Should I do a small service early (as opposed to just an oil change)? It seems stupid to do an oil change then 6 months later to do a small service, including oil and filters.
Thanks
Paiul

Hmmm, you are the first person who has ever surfaced on this board AFAIK with an A8 Hybrid. A unicorn of sorts. Welcome!
I know the car since we have a 2013 Q5 Hybrid. Only the Q5 Hybrid was ever sold in North America.
I suspect the answer to your question is they did not reset the indicator at that last service, assuming it was Dec 17, 2018.
You are bumping up near the 35,000 mile service, assuming it follows the USA service schedule from 2013. But by time, that should actually have been done back in 2017. Without records, I couldn't reconcile.
Note BTW that Hybrids (at least Q5) have a unique transmission fluid change at 35,000 miles, and every 40K thereafter. NO other 8 speed ZF auto transmission application in an Audi has that, and dealers are probably likely to miss it. I had to call it out and bring mine back when dealer missed that one the first time as part of USA AudiCare.

Thanks MP4,
I guess I should have picked Unicorn as my user name!
Just to avoid confusion.
Car new in Oct 2013
Car was serviced in Oct 2015 at 12,000miles -Interim
Then in Dec 2017 at 24,000 miles - Major
So it seems to me that the oil service, and the interim and major service indicators work out of sync with each other.
Thanks for the tip re the transmission fluid change. I will ask the dealer about that.

Only in D4 and only in Europe and China I think. Not USA or Canada.
Since we are conversing in miles, I'm guessing our new member is maybe in the UK?
When we picked up our 2013 Q5 Hybrid in Ingolstadt, they had a cutaway of the newly intro'ed D4 version on a showroom floor next to the hotel Audi uses there for Euro delivery. That is, before Audi USA pulled the plug on that program (so to speak..) at end of 2018.
