Smoked Taillights???
Has anyone smoked their taillights on their A8? If so, would love to see some pictures of the final result and/or general comments. Thinking of going with the following precut film from Rtint:

From my previous A8 L, these where cut and installed by hand. Ultimately I think the tint was too dark. IIRC the shop said it was their medium. If I had kept the car much longer I would have peeled them off and considered going with a lighter shade or none at all.

FWI I went Lamin-x on my C7 S6. The tail lights on the C7's are obesely bright (people shield their eyes in my review mirror.)
I went with the lightest offering. "tint" I believe is the name. To my eye it looks like the facelift year after mine when they smoked the taillights from the factory.

Looks similar to this healightarmor pic.

I think for $40 bucks and some DIY it wouldn't hurt to give it a go. I suppose I'd start with the plain smoke option based on the link you sent.

Thanks @MUFASA . My new ride did not come from the factory with this option. The look of the S8 is already more sporty than my previous ride so I'm gonna hold off on blacking out the bright work for now. I think it contrasts nicely with the Daytona Pearl paint and titanium finished wheels. It does have a carbon rear valance which is a nice touch however.

I just did mine with lamin-x film, I believe it was the "tint" version. It was the lightest available besides clear.
I bought there clear film for my front headlights as well. Ill try to get some pic's posted soon.
Gives the car that "euro" look imo.
