transmission filter replace - imperative??

transmission filter replace - imperative??

so my 2012 A4 Quattro has 61,000 and Im thinking to do a transmission drain and fill, but skeptical about having someone open the pan change the filter and put a new gasket.

is it highly recommended do to a filter or can I wait down the line to do this and just get some nice clean transmission fluid into the system at 61,000 miles?

your thoughts.

This area is for the Audi A8 D4. But yes have the filter changed, use an Indy or dealer not just some random places. I think you can wait until 75k miles but depends on the car.

I realized after I posted, I put it in the wrong car. woops! ok, so I have a few other things to work on and will do the transmission drain a little later. I have the right mechanic who specializes in AUDI. I will price it at a dealer as well.
