Hi All,

My new to me 2011 A8 displayed several "Gearbox Malfunction: You can continue driving" messages over a few days. The local Audi dealer treated the issue with a transmission software patch or flash following TSB # 2028561/7. My questions are: Has anyone else experienced this fault and was it treated with a software patch?

and

Does anyone have a copy of TSB # 2028561/7 that you can post or attach to a private message to me?

Finally, I searched the forum pretty thoroughly and found nothing regarding this TSB and little regarding the Gearbox Malfunction message. If I missed it, my apologies in advance.

My first concern would be the dreaded transmission coolant valve failure, which can get some unfortunate places wet. Did you get the recall done?

Had the same Gearbox Malfunction warning on my 2011 A8L. Happened with increacing frequency over a two week period. Software update fixed it.
