Instead of trying to put in seconds ie 600, 1200 etc. as this also gave me errors you should try using single digit numbers like the following examples where 1 = 300 seconds, 2 = 600 seconds and up 9 = 2392 seconds, 10 = 2648 seconds.....

Sorry to bring up a dead post but if anyone is still having issues adjusting their Massage Timers you might want to try this instead.

I see this is an old thread but thanks for all the info nevertheless. I've been thinking about changing the massage feature to about 15-20 minutes, I just immediately forget about it once I'm out of the car 
I wasn't aware the seat heating can be reprogrammed as well. I might actually do it for 5 minutes switch, as I really can't stand constant heat on my bottoms. Plus it's not healthy for men.
Is there a specific VCDS tricks section? I was recently thinking if it's possible to change the refresh rate on the navigation screen, so it chops less.
