drove it. just got back from dealer who sort of fixed my clunking noise from the rear suspension with sound deadening material. This was after they replaced the entire rear air suspension to the tune of $4k at their cost. Seems to have worked. Morons...
I installed a new AGM battery today in my 13' S8. When I took out the old one, it had a build date of 6/2015. I guess my car is a battery eater. Engine fires up faster now. The OE Varta battery and this autocraft look exactly the same both made by Johnson Controls.
I have a 2011 A8L which doesn't have USB power outlets. I just got the AUKEY converter for the cig lighter and it works fine but sticks up a little high to call it perfect. I find it hard to believe that there is no USB power inside the center arm rest storage compartment. I am going to add a dual port inside it and need advice on which power line to tap into. See pics below.
The power lines to the 2 red LED lights inside the storage compartment are the most convenient but the wires are thin and I don't think it is a good idea. Do you guys agree ?
I also exposed the power lines to the rear cig lighter and can see a re-routing/extension option to the storage compartment. Do you think this is the way to go ?
Are there any websites which are more detailed in doing things like this ? Audiworld doesn't seem to have a lot of this kind of stuff going on.
