Separate question: is there any benefit to more spokes onto he wheel (assuming both are forged)? For example, of the two below- is it just a matter of taste and looks assuming both are forged?

FWIW, here's what I chose for my winter wheel. Will post pics in Mid Nov when I mount. I'm in SE Michigan so roads aren't good in winter. I'll be bringing it back to stock ride height as well.

Might be a bit stronger too just given the extra spokes. Give I am not in beat up Midwest or Northeast, I don't sweat the winter specific pothole stuff as much. CA roads aren't great these days, but in general not the same freeze heaves and huge potholes as many other places.

Mine, running Conti DWS06's as a trial--since I am in NorCal and the snow need is Tahoe as pictured. I still use a dedicated summer set, but then I am more leisurely when I make the change over.

do you know what is the part number of your wheel please?

Nope. I ran on 21" last winter since I purchased my S8 in late Dec. This will be my first time on 20". Need more profile to defend against pot holes.

This ad should have correct part # given the description: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-2015-Audi-A7-S7-A8-S8-20-x9-Factory-OEM-Rim-Wheel-58937-4H0601025AA/163258115691?epid=1525418615&hash=item2602f1266b:g eQAAOSwoaNbm-qj I try to avoid refurb wheels though, and this is only a single anyway. In looking for them, be careful the wheels are for D4 like this ad + # is apparently. They were also made for D3, but those have a smaller center bore and are ET46.

BTW, this not very often mentioned OE wheel is also forged. Again notice stamped in part # in last pic.: https://www.ebay.com/itm/16-17-18-Audi-A7-OEM-Wheel-Rim-20x9-58983-4G8601025AE-CQ2-ET37/163146391564?epid=1579334480&hash=item25fc48600c:g :fOIAAOSwC-JbR5Vk

I go for 20", not too sure if 19" will fit, not much space.

I was searching for 21" winter tire couple year ago, but will be over $3K (cad) .. end up getting 20" wheel and tire set for less $, so instead of spending $300 every 6 month for installation, took me ~ 45min to do it at home .. ^_^

If you want dark, they look legit from the stamping I can see. There is a stock set on audizine last I looked too that is somewhat less: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...ke-20x9-Wheels Their classified ads are both better organized and a lot more active than here. On the other hand, their D2, D3 and D4 board (all smushed together) has tumble weeds blowing through it month over month, besides the 95% sponsor ad posts that populate it and huge waste of time thinking 20 year old D2's have much to do with D4s.

Be sure you get the caps for those (both ads seem to have them), or you spend more $ unnecessarily later.

Thanks very much! Quick question - you start by saying "if you want dark" - any reason not to get dark or simply a personal taste question?
