I can't seem to figure out how to get Carplay wirelessly. Any thoughts? It works when plugged in. Pics coming, once the car gets back from ceramic coathing.

Mine works flawlessly. I suggest you erase everything and start over with pairing the phone.

I know that it might be a silly suggestion. Do you have Bluetooth turned on in your phone?

The MMI on my 2022 S8 is the only thing I don't like about my car. Inconsistent connectivity. Despite my everyday ritual, most days are fine but there is usually one day a week where my car demands attention to its MMI connectivity.

Can't agree with you more. My 2022 A8 had a mind of its own in this area and very inconsistent, so you can never determine why in the world it is behaving in that manner. Crazy....So far the 24 S8 connects every time and I hope I do not jinx myself!

I've spent over an hour trying to get carplay going without success. Disconnected my phone, reconnected it several times. iPhone 15, bluetooth on, wireless on. All I get is bluetooth music from my phone, not carplay, unless it is plugged into the USB socket; then carplay launches immediately. For reference, my phone's wireless carplay works fine in '23 Macan and '24 911 and in '23 BMW 540i.

It's usually the phone and not the car. That said, my 2019 Mercedes S560 never had a connectivity problem. I left Mercedes with the W223. A major disaster!

We all suffer with these problems. My Honda Goldwing is finicky. I don't understand how we can evolve to EVs when we can't even connect to a phone.
