It makes sense to save money of these incredibly complex technologies and saving on duplicate effort
Talking of costs of fully electric cars and how high they are, that's why the manufacturers are pumping money into Hydrogen fuel cell tech. We don't have many hydrogen fuel stations in the UK, but there are some at least.
With the alleged BMW & Audi potential programs for LMP1 endurance racing with hydrogen in the 2024 (ish) rule set, watch this space. H-Tron is coming.
