My Audi app on my iphone has been sending me regular reminders that the App need to be set to "always allow location services" I used to have it set to allow "while using the app" but apparently that is not good enough for Audi.
Has anyone experienced this lately?

I asked the app not to track my location when I got the car and it never reminded me.

I did that as well, and it would not connect carplay to my phone. Really strange behavior lately... Sometimes it connects seamlessly and at times just refuses to connect. I also noticed that it wants to be connected to the Audi wifi at all times. This has been causing a faster drain of my phone's battery.

Just to make sure that we're talking about the same thing. I attached the screen shot of MyAudi App/Vehicle Connection screen settings. My phone setting for MyAudi app says Location - Never.

Thank you for sharing your settings. I have disabled location services and we will see what happens. My other settings in the app are exacltly like yours except now it says that prerequisisutes are not met per the shot below. First world issues....
