A couple are available for around 50k Maybe I should go for the 2020 S8!
And you think I wasn't tempted ...!

My budget was meaning £40k max and diesel mpg. There are some nice Black Editions around which have the same interior and exterior styling as the S8. If you can live with a sub 6 seconds 0-60, 150mph and 45mpg (which I'm averaging)...

To me the 360 camera was a nice gimmick when I first bought the car that I never use even in tight parking.

The AWS is amazing - I took a u-turn tighter than the Toyota Camry in front of me the other day.

Oh, I can totally live with that. The problem is that there is no AWS in that price category, at least not with a manufacturer warranty.

Just had a thought - doesn't the UK Vorsprung model come with AWS standard ? I know that's in the low £50s used, rather than up to £40k.
Every one of the 103 cars I've owned or company leased has been a compromise in some way - price, colour, spec !

One more vote for AWS. The top view camera is great, but if I had to choose, it would be AWS. Makes a huge difference in turning radius which I imagine would be important on narrow roads.

I think it is more than that, but that aspect is great by itself. I think it makes the car handle much differently at higher speeds. One stat about these cars that is still mind boggling to me is that its skid pad rating I think is somewhere around .94g, depending on tires. The 1995 Porsche 911S was .86g. The 1999 911 was .93g. It wasn't until the 997 version of the 911, produced in 2005+, that its skid pad rating exceeds the A8L. The roadhandling of these cars is not in our imaginations...it really is remarkable.

Isn't the 360 camera required to have all the driving assistance available? That would be a reason for this option. Still, AWS is a preferable option.

It seems the Vorsprung models have both these options: AWS and 360.
