I see it everywhere. A bunch of references and Youtube links to Doug Demuro's D5 A8 review sometime in late 2017. EVERY SINGLE reference of it to Youtube results in a dead link which means Doug removed it.

Does anyone know why?

My guess is that Euro spec A8 brought to America really wasn't meant to be reviewed.

They didn't lend it to him. He reviewed it at an Audi dealer.

How did the Audi dealer get their hands on it? The EPA hasn't released it yet, and if that dealer had a press car then everything Doug said would have been fair game, unless they had a catastrophic engine failure and they decided to gag him.

Car and Driver has reviewed it, as has several other US firms (The Verge, etc) to name a few. Although I don't remember if these car reviewer firms reviewed them Stateside or not.

All or at least most dealers got one to display for a few days. They weren't there to be driven/ reviewed.
