Default 1992 Airbag OBD Plug Location?

I can not access the airbag computer with the VAG tool connected to the OBD plug in the box in the engine bay along the firewall. I was told that there was a change somewhere along the line and that the airbag has it's own set of OBD plugs under the armrest/center console. The Bentley manual makes no mention of this. Can anyone offer advice before I start tearing the center console appart looking for a plug that may not even be there?

1992 100cs Quattro Wagon.

Thanks.

Pull radio and look way down in hole.Short pigtail, I think white or grey. It has been awhile and quite can't remember color.(CRS)
Or if it has been reset before, look under center console Dr. side bolster close to accelerator. Remember, it's very short. "whilst"
