I am going to purchase a 1993 Audi 100CS. These model Audis did not come with silver framing. I want to paint the car I get black. The 1993 Model V8 shown on the "historical models" section of this page is what I mean by silver lining. Would it be possible to add this silver lining to my car after it is painted black?
If yes where could I go to get it done and how much would it cost.
If someone could please get back to me I would love an answer.

You can buy the chrome trim from an A6 and it will fit, but it might be a bit of trouble to remove the old stuff and put the new on... let me know if you do it and have the black trim left over. I'll take it off your hands. =)

The body panels are the same, so it will in fact fit... but I don't know how involved it might be. I'll e-mail a guy I know who might have taken his trim off and get back to the forum with any info I can find out.
