what kind of coolant?
is it audi coolant?how is "not hot"?describe the temperature. so you are doing it your self? do you resurface the heads? and when you did the job did you do both head gaskets?new bolts? the mating surfaces need to be extremely clean, with no added silicones and what not.
ever run it with radiator cleaning chemicals, or too much water in the mix that lead to corosion??there are alot of things, we just need to know exactly how you carried out the proceders.

did you blow both sides or just one?
when I did my car 2 years ago (T-belt snapped) I got a bad set of gaskets. shortly after the rebuild I blew the passanger side, then a few months later the drivers side went. now for the last year it's been fine. all in all both sides went in about 10k miles from the rebuild. I just concluded it was a bad set of gaskets since each side went and not the same side 2x. just for curiosity do you recall the brand of gaskets you got?

I got a deal on a gasket kit first time around, next time i got higher quality gaskets. did you by chance use the same kind of gaskets on the re-do? hopefully not!!!
