My early model '97 A6 quattro doesn't let me know if I forgot to turn off my headlights or remove my key from the ignition after opening the driver door. Anybody know where the chimes for these items are?

No.
It's mounted on the back of the instrument panel. Far towards the passenger side. It's a rectangular shaped object with a plug from the wire harness going to it. It think i've seen grey, and black ones.

Re: There aren't any plugs/rectangular objects/etc on the back of my instrument panel.
I have discovered that my buzzer chimes do not function. I took the radio out and there are two buzzer type devices behind the radio. One is blue and one is orange. I think that they are the headlight chime and the key buzzer. I am sure that they are connected to the door switch and probably a fuse or a relay. Does anyone know if there is a fuse or relay in line?
