Auto will not go into reverse gear until oil is warm
I have a VW Bora and when cold it will not go into reverse gear. If I drive it for about 5km it shifts into reverse ok. Have a fault code 00652

Likely low, ATF expands when it's warm that is why in order to get it just right level wise it has to be warm.
Trust me, it can be a real pain to get it spot on, I took my mechanic twice to nail it but it's been good since.
