Automatic speed sensor problem
I have a 2.5tdi SE(140 auto) avant
and spent ?1500 repairing the autobox a year ago
However when on the the move the engine will eventually over rev as not to maintain its top gear. I have returned the car to the auto specialist who has tested the auto and sees no problem . I have also tested using the OBD and no faults are indicated. I have read other threads and similar problems suggest a speed limiter. Can anyone shed any light on this

So was the transmission shop able to duplicate your complaint?
Sure sounds like an internal transmission problem to me. Sounds like the transmission is slipping inside.
I'd recommend taking the car to a shop that specializes in late model Audi, or take it to the dealer.

the automatic specialist alledged that they could
not replicate the problem and suggested that this is a non auto problem
