Bizarre Problem...

Ok, I have had this happen twice now, and can't figure it out.

I get in the car, turn the ignition, and nothing happens. No electrical items work. I open the door, and close it again, and everything is fine- Car starts and I am on my way. Radio is now in Sagfe mode, but battery didn't disconnect because trip odometer is not reset.

It happened once when the car sat for 4 days amd once for 4 hours. Both times that car got rained on, but it doesn't always happen when it rains. Also, when i noticed it yesterday, the rear fog lamp button was flashing quickly.

Also, when i make a left turn about half way to lock i get a knocking sound...Does this sound like a CV problem??

Any ideas?

Sounds like an alarm problem.....

Check your contact switches and make sure they function correctly, are intact, etc. Really check you the driver's side switch. Make sure the screw is tight and the connections are hooked up *snuggly*.

If okay, check the wiring between the door and the frame for breaks.

Yes, that sounds like a bad CV joint!!
