Climate Control Problems
I have a 1993 Audi 100 2.6 V6 auto, the climate control suddenly stoped working, i checked all fuses, they were all ok, i took it to an aircon specialist, he re -gassed it and hot wired the compressor, to test it, it worked ok,he said the problem could be the ECU the temp on the dashboard reads - 34, and we are having a heat wave at the moment, i am now thinking this has something to do with temperature sensors ?, would be grateful for any help on this please.

You'll have to check which sensor inputs the temp to the climate control unit. If the same sensor sends a signal to the climate control unit as the dashboard then you found your problem.
Audi's A/C system is designed not to come on when the temperature falls below ~37deg F. If the climate control is registering a temperatue of -34, then the A/C will not come on.
If the problem turns out to be the sensor then swapping in a new sensor should do the trick!

Does anyone know where the sensor for the outside air temperature is located on a 1993 Audi 2.6 V6 Auto Uk model,and what does it look like,cant find any reference to it in the haynes manual
