Cruise Control stopped working
My cruise control has stopped working. My car stereo was stolen recently and after that is when I noticed my car stereo stopped working. I read somewhere that the factory stereo has a wire telling it what speed you are going to automatically adjust the volume and that if shorted it could possibly damage the cruise control. Does anyone know anything about this? Do I need to purchase a new cruise control module or how can I test the cruise control module and figure out whats going on? Thanks.

You're thinking of GALA which is only found on 95.5+ cars.
It's probably unrelated unless everyone here with an aftermarket CD player in their A6 doesn't have cruise control. Search the forum, there is plenty of information on diagnosing the cruise control.
