Did Audi sell any diesel powered cars in North America?
I had an argument with a guy at work who is pretty
knowlegable in cars and he was saying that Audi was selling Diesels in USA and Canada in late 80's.
I personally have never seen one. didn't even hear of somebody owning one
in Europe there one diesel out of every 3 Audis sold

Yup...they did...
They sold some, but not many. Ive only seen one, an 83 4000 diesel, and it was in a junkyard. There have been 5000 diesels and a turbo diesel model too, but they were from the very early 80's.
