Driver side power window - Auto rolldown feature

Driver side power window - Auto rolldown feature
The drivers side window on my 95-A6 always goes into the "auto rolldown" mode whenever I press the button. I actually need to momentarily tap the switch in the 'up' position to stop the window from rolling down completely.
In most cars the switch is a 2-step switch. Pressing it normally rolls the window to as usual and fully depressing the switch throws the window into the auto rolldown mode.
Is this normal? Can it be changed, disabled or reprogrammed with a VAG tool?
Thanks in advance.

There are three options
tap up or down to stop window auto rolldown feature. Or, if you just hold the switch down (or up) until it gets to where you want it. The window should stop automatically when you let go of the switch. In other words, if you run the switch normally and don't tap it, it becomes a normal switch and overrides the auto rolldown and up feature.

I'm with shazam
I have same issue as shazam. There's no way I can get the driver's window to stop without pressing switch back to the "up" position.
Waggonmann, I know what you're talking about, I just can't get it to work on my 94 100S.
Also, I have a wagon and the rear wiper only has two settings--intermittent and off. There is no "on" or a "one-time" feature that I can get to work.

Re: There are three options
I wish that I could simply let go of the switch and have the window stop. But it doesn't work that way. The autorolldown is ALWAYS on.
I noticed your's is a 97 so maybe this is something that was fixed between 95 & 97. It's not a real big deal but annoying if you simply want to roll the window down part way.
